Mission Integration and Operations Supervisor At GDIT, the people are our differentiator. We need you providing supervision to our highly professional team supporting the Integration and Operational needs of the organization at Cape Canaveral. As the supervisor of this exceptional team you will support the team by working with them to accomplish their goals, providing a supportive work environment where they can grow and achieve their career ambitions. Through your leadership the team can meet all the customers' goals and go beyond their expectations. Supervisor duties include managing the time keeping system for your assigned employees, approving expense reports, and tracking training and other corporate items as required. I will rely heavily on your expertise in evaluating candidates for positions when we have openings. In addition to the supervisory responsibilities the position still functions as a Mission Lead providing mission integration and operations support for the customer. The Launch Base Mission Integration Lead is the point of contact for the definition, coordination and integration of launch requirements.

Areas of responsibilities include:

Program plan development and maintenance, including performing launch vehicle mission trade studies, mission analysis Development of mission unique requirements and derived requirements identification Monitoring and verifying all launch vehicle and satellite vehicle interface requirements including satellite vehicle transportation and processing requirements. Support includes an understanding of the launch services contract requirements and Launch Systems Integration Contractor (LSIC) integration service contract requirements to manage ECP incorporation, including change definition, contract modification technical evaluation, and launch operations planning and execution. Requires close coordination with the SV Program, LVC, OL, Range, and other associated contractors and organizations. Requires a working knowledge of Engineering Launch Support System (ELSS) architecture and components, including the Launch Vehicle Launch Support Centers (LVLSCs) at the launch bases.

Launch Mission Integration tasks include:

Provides space vehicle to launch vehicle integration, manifesting, and launch expertise Provides Launch mission management process continuity across the Launch Enterprise Supports Launch Mission Management interface with internal and external divisions, agencies and contractors Generates reports and presentations for PIRs, QPRs and other launch enterprise internal and external reviews Manages coordination process for planning and readiness meetings Performs quality assurance of all launch mission integration products assuring quality products are properly developed, coordinated and delivered. Provides Launch Mission Integration expertise for manufacturing, quality assurance and business management meetings/reviews Standardizes launch vehicle readiness activities where possible Monitor hardware issues and provides assessments in the OSL weekly report Monitor and assess fleet wide issues affecting mission assurance Assists in the development of consistent mission certification requirement process Provides support to mission managers for launch certification activities Assists in the development of launch and mission integration requirements in support of OSL CBJB and IPBS development Reconciles launch requirements against mission execution plans Supports the collaboration efforts with the client's to assure common understanding and sharing of resources for certification activities Fosters collaboration with external launch partners and organizations Attend Launch Scheduling/Manifest Meetings as required Support each OSL launch campaign, throughout the launch process, by ensuring the availability of necessary Mission IT infrastructure and services as driven by satellite program and OSL requirements, including launch requirements Support Pathfinder or Trailblazer activities as required Manage the requirements baseline throughout the campaign utilizing the Move-Add-Change process (MAC) as required Participates in special projects as required.

The Operations Supervisor must have:

Education:

Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science Experience:

15+ years of related experience and 10 years of space launch experience Role requirements: 5 years of Government acquisition experience Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other Government agencies and mission partners Ability to deliver effective briefings/presentations/papers on complex topics for audiences that may be large and/or include high level decision makers Substantive experience providing risk assessments and risk-management recommendations to program managers Expert knowledge of the mission integration process, to include experience working launch vehicle to space vehicle interfaces, including mechanical, electrical, mission analysis, launch and SV environments, ground operations, space vehicle transportation and processing, launch readiness, mission interface verification between the LV and SV Security clearance level: TS/SCI with polygraph US citizenship required

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
