Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a hands-on Operations Supervisor to oversee daytime operations at a high-end wedding and event venue in Coral Gables. This role is responsible for opening the venue, supervising staff and vendors during setup and event operations, managing inventory and deliveries, and ensuring all areas are organized, clean, and operating according to venue standards. This is an active role that requires the supervisor to remain on the floor, walking and supervising throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and experience in a luxury hotel, restaurant, or event environment are essential. Key Responsibilities Follow and enforce all venue Rules of Conduct. Explain and oversee proper setup procedures for the cleaning team. Wait for, receive, and supervise all vendors on site. Actively supervise cleaning staff and parking operations throughout the shift. Set up and break down the bar according to venue standards. Receive and verify liquor deliveries and return liquor orders as required. Pick up cleaning supply orders as needed. Manage incoming shipments of products, ensuring accuracy and inventory integrity. Unpack and inspect incoming goods for quality and accuracy against purchase orders. Record and maintain accurate inventory levels, including updating stock quantities. Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to management. Organize and store received items in designated areas to ensure efficient workflow. Maintain organization and cleanliness of the vendor room. Receive and verify orders and deliveries. Complete required inventories accurately and on time. Supervise maintenance staff and address operational needs. Supervise and manage third-party vendors, including fumigators, plumbers, electricians, painters, and contractors. Review event floorplans with the Wedding Planner prior to setup. Perform all opening and closing duties in accordance with venue SOPs. Ensure rented flatware, plates, and glassware are placed in their designated containers. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Skills Prior experience in events, hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or venue operations preferred. Basic computer skills (email, inventory systems, mobile apps) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Clear verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to carry up to 25 lbs. Must have reliable transportation. Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
