Job Description

Director of Plant Operations Needed- Join Our Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Team! A leading skilled nursing center in the Daytona Beach area seeks a Director of Plant Operations to oversee and direct the functioning of facility building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, elevators (if applicable), grounds and relationships with contractors for renovation projects in accordance with current federal, state and local standards. Ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable condition. To plan, organize and develop and direct the overall operation of the Housekeeping and Laundry Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards governing the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, sanitary and comfortable manner and to ensure that an adequate supply of laundry and linens are always on hand to meet the needs of the residents.
Qualifications:
Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators and mechanical, low and high voltage/electrical breakers updated location of panels and plumbing systems. Must be knowledgeable of building codes, EPA Certification and blueprint interpretation. Must be knowledgeable of life safety regulations preferably in a healthcare environment in accordance with the AHCA Standards and National Fire Protection Act (NFPA). Training in environmental control and operation of laundry equipment practices and procedures. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must speak and understand English. Previous experience in a supervisory capacity. Positive attitude toward the elderly. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word and the internet. Past experience with and proficiency with computerized property management systems preferred.
Education and Experience:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED 2-4 years of Supervisory Facility Maintenance including Housekeeping and Laundry experience in a healthcare environment Proven experience with AHCA regulations and survey processes is a must. Ability to pursue additional certifications as indicated by Avante.
