Job Description
SEC Logistics is seeking an experienced Business Contact (BC) to manage daily FedEx Ground operations at our Palmetto terminal. This role is responsible for overseeing driver performance, ensuring safety and compliance, and serving as the primary point of contact between the terminal and contractor leadership. The ideal candidate is firm but fair, highly organized, calm under pressure, and familiar with fast-paced last-mile delivery operations. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary liaison between FedEx Ground terminal leadership and contractor Oversee daily dispatch, staffing, and route coverage Monitor driver performance, safety, and service metrics Conduct ride-along, observations, coaching, and corrective actions Ensure compliance with FedEx Ground policies and contractor standards Handle incident reporting, injuries, discipline, and documentation Support driver onboarding, training, and offboarding Track attendance, call-outs, and daily operational issues Communicate effectively with HR, payroll, and management teams Qualifications Prior experience as a BC, Ops Manager, or Lead Driver (FedEx Ground experience strongly preferred) Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to manage conflict and enforce policies professionally Knowledge of GroundCloud, scanners, safety metrics, and driver codes preferred Valid driver's license required (DOT experience a plus) Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and peak seasons Schedule Full-time Early morning starts required Weekend availability as needed
