Handy Dan Heating & Air - Jacksonville, FL Full-Time | Leadership Role About Handy Dan Heating & Air Handy Dan Heating & Air is a fast-growing residential HVAC company serving Jacksonville and the surrounding areas. We are building a structured, performance-driven service operation focused on strong diagnostics, efficient execution, honest recommendations, and long-term customer relationships. We are looking for an experienced operator who has already managed meaningful HVAC revenue and understands how to run a service business at scale. Position Overview We are hiring an HVAC Operations & Growth Manager to oversee daily field operations and help structure and scale a growing HVAC company. This is a leadership role for someone who has directly managed HVAC or home-service operations responsible for at least $1M+ in annual revenue and understands how to drive performance through technicians, systems, and execution. This is not a trainee management role. This role will manage day-to-day operations independently and serve as the primary operational leader of the business. What You Will Own Operations Daily HVAC service and installation operations Dispatch flow, scheduling, and job execution oversight Technician productivity, accountability, and performance standards Ensuring jobs are completed efficiently, correctly, and profitably Performance & Revenue Management of KPIs including close rate, margins, callbacks, and efficiency Improving average ticket and job profitability through execution discipline Supporting membership and recurring service program growth Identifying operational gaps that impact revenue performance Team Leadership Lead and support field technicians Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training Build accountability and performance standards within the team Customer & Relationship Management Ensure strong customer communication and service experience Identify and help develop recurring revenue opportunities such as maintenance agreements, property managers, and repeat-service relationships. Reinforce company reputation and customer trust Systems & Growth Support Help develop SOPs and scalable operational systems Improve workflow efficiency and reduce operational friction Support ownership in structuring the company for growth Growth initiatives will be executed in alignment with ownership direction and available operational capacity. Minimum Requirements (Must Have) 5+ years of HVAC or residential home-service leadership experience Direct responsibility for at least $1M+ in annual service or install revenue Proven experience managing technicians and operational workflows Strong understanding of HVAC service operations and job execution Experience working with KPIs and performance accountability systems Demonstrated ability to improve operational performance (efficiency, revenue, or margins) Strong communication and leadership skills Valid driver's license Must Demonstrate Experience In Candidates must clearly show experience in at least some of the following: Managing service or install operations with measurable revenue responsibility Technician performance management and accountability Dispatch, scheduling, or job flow control Improving revenue per job, efficiency, or operational margins Working with recurring service relationships (maintenance agreements, property managers, service contracts, or similar) Preferred Qualifications Experience managing $2M+ HVAC or home-service operations Experience building or improving operational systems or SOPs Experience with CRM or service platforms (Workiz or similar) Experience with membership or recurring revenue programs Exposure to small commercial, property management, or repeat-service accounts Experience improving sales conversion or technician upsell performance Compensation $85,000 - $110,000 annual base salary (based on experience) Performance-based bonuses tied to operational and revenue goals Paid time off Vehicle allowance or company vehicle (based on structure) Long-term growth opportunity as the company scales Business Stage & Opportunity Handy Dan Heating & Air is a small but rapidly growing HVAC company in a build-and-scale phase.
