General Manager - Hospitality & Wedding Venue Operations Bella Cosa | Lake Wales, Florida Part of the Gilchrist Collection (12 wedding venues across the US & UK) Bella Cosa is one of Florida's busiest and most sought-after wedding venues, hosting 300+ weddings per year. We are proud to be part of the Gilchrist Collection, a family of 12 venues dedicated exclusively to weddings. Perfection, no exception. About the Role Bella Cosa is seeking a strong, people-first hospitality leader to serve as General Manager. This is not a desk-only operations role, and it is not traditional property management. This role is about leading a high-performing team, driving sales results, and delivering exceptional wedding experiences at scale. As General Manager, you are the culture-setter, the decision-maker, and the operational leader of the venue. You will oversee sales performance, wedding delivery, guest satisfaction, team development, and overall venue presentation. This role requires emotional intelligence, executive presence, and strong project management skills. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of sales professionals, event staff, and venue personnel. Build a warm, accountable, hospitality-driven team culture. Hire, onboard, coach, and conduct performance reviews in coordination with Head Office HR. Ensure all team members are trained, confident, and aligned with company standards. Sales & Business Performance Drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales goals in partnership with Head Office. Monitor conversion rates, tour performance, and revenue targets. Report venue statistics and performance metrics to Head Office. Oversee contract approvals, addendums, and deposit returns in coordination with Finance. Wedding & Guest Experience Oversee all weddings and events to ensure seamless execution and exceptional client satisfaction. Ensure client files, timelines, and production details are organized and accurate. Step in when needed, whether conducting tours, resolving guest concerns, or supporting event delivery. Build strong relationships with local vendors and industry professionals. Operations & Venue Oversight Ensure the venue is presented beautifully and operates efficiently at all times. Oversee schedules, payroll reporting, inventory, and purchase orders. Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and property upkeep (delegating appropriately). Partner with Head Office on marketing initiatives, renovations, and strategic improvements. Passionate about weddings, events, and creating unforgettable experiences. Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on when needed. Required Experience 3+ years of leadership experience in weddings, events, hospitality, or a related guest-focused industry. Proven experience managing a team and driving performance. Strong organizational and administrative skills. Ability to work weekends and evenings as required by event schedules. Preferred (But Not Required) Wedding venue experience.
