This role involves overseeing the entire manufacturing process, from raw material acquisition to finished product delivery, while leading a team of supervisors, leads, and production staff. The Operations Manager will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

Oversee the daily operations of the fabrication and manufacturing facility, ensuring that production schedules are met. Manage the production workflow, ensuring that all products are manufactured to the required specifications and quality standards. Coordinate with the scheduling team to optimize production timelines and resource allocation.

Team Leadership:

Demonstration, support, and adherence to Integrated Metal Products core values. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors, leads, and production staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Ensure that team members are adequately trained and equipped to perform their duties safely and efficiently. Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and setting goals for team development.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure that all operations comply with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment. Oversee safety training programs and enforce safety protocols to minimize workplace accidents and incidents. Ensure compliance with environmental and industry regulations.

Quality Assurance:

Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that all products meet or exceed customer expectations. Collaborate with the Quality Management System QMS) Manager and quality assurance team to identify and address any quality issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Drive a culture of quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs. Implement lean manufacturing principles and other process optimization techniques to improve efficiency. Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Resource Management:

Manage the procurement and allocation of materials, equipment, and labor to ensure efficient production. Work closely with the procurement team to manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials. Oversee equipment maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the life of machinery.

Financial Management:

Provide regular reports on production performance, costs, and other key metrics to senior management. Prepare and manage the operations budget, ensuring that production costs are controlled and financial targets are met. Monitor production expenses and implement cost-saving measures where possible.

Customer Satisfaction:

Ensure that all customer orders are fulfilled on time and to the required specifications. Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address any production-related customer concerns. Maintain a focus on delivering high-quality products and meeting customer expectations.

Strategic Planning:

Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's strategic goals and objectives. Develop long-term operational strategies that align with company goals and market demands. Stay informed about industry trends and advancements to keep the company competitive.
