Job Description
The Director of Operations position supports the work of the YMCA of Collier County, Inc., a leading not-for-profit organization committed to strengthening the communities in Collier County through its core focus areas of Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. The Director of Operations is the day-to-day operational leader of the Collier County programs. As key administrative staff in an Association actively engaged in many national Y initiatives, this position is responsible for general administration of the YMCA of Collier County including staff supervision, coaching, budgeting, expense control, income generation, program development, quality control of operations and facilities, and equipment maintenance. This person participates in advisory committees pertaining to program and partnership initiatives and serves as a liaison to assigned committees. The Director of Operations also provides direction and leadership for the achievement of Association goals under the direction of the CEO in accordance with the policies, procedures and standards established by the Board that will advance the mission of the YMCA. - Bachelor's Degree in human services, social services, business or equivalent preferred.
- Six or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency required.
- Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of budget, marketing and public relations, and program development.
- Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders.
- Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
- Strong writing, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Must meet YMCA driving criteria.
- YMCA Multi-Team Leader certification preferred.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
