Supervises and engages in administrative and customer service operations for an assigned department or division. Work involves planning and assigning work to subordinate employees; managing workload and productivity; overseeing the establishment and maintenance of division records, files and databases; and engaging in administrative and customer service work as needed.- Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals.
- Supervises the daily operations, customer service activities and clerical staff for an assigned Division and/or Department.
- Plans daily workload; assigns work to staff; monitors work products and productivity; and makes changes to daily priorities and processes as needed.
- Oversees the provision of support and customer service; ensures data entry, document preparation, record keeping and other clerical functions are performed accurately and efficiently; and that customers are received and assisted in a timely and courteous manner.
- Reviews records, account information, receipts and other daily work products for accuracy.
- Performs a variety of administrative duties associated with supervising staff to include assigning work; providing guidance and direction; coordinating and/or providing training and development; establishing performance expectations.
- Engages in administrative and customer service work as needed; performs data entry, record maintenance, and document preparation; updates files and databases; answers telephones; and searches and retrieves information upon request.
- Assists customers, receives payments, and provides information regarding division services, policies and procedures.
- Manages the maintenance of division files and records; ensures automated and manual records are kept up to date; prepares records for storage, microfilming and/or destruction as appropriate.
- Associate degree required.
- Two (2) years of related experience.
- Candidates without a degree should possess two (2) additional years of related experience.
- Fingerprinting required.
- Performs other related duties as required.
