FedEx Ground Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

As an Operations Manager, you are responsible for successfully running the operations of the business. 1) Represent and Manage relationships with FedEx on behalf of the company in a Business Contact Capacity 2) Design and Plan the routes to optimize the best on daily basis for best stop count performance output 3) Manage other employees and their schedules for successful delivery of routes on daily basis 4) Learn and run routes as necessary to maintain the 99.5% ILS service levels. 5) Coach employees on best practices of route operations including but not limited to delivery performance, pickup performance, Customer service, Safe driving etc., 6) Supervise drivers and their driving habits on the routes as necessary to ensure drivers are practicing safety and customer service behaviors on the job 7) Hiring and Firing of the Drivers 8) Establish good relationships with high package volume delivery and/or pickup stop customers by visiting and look for opportunities to increase the route performance and customer service (

Ex:

Closures, High package volume days etc..,). 9) Proactively taking care of monthly and Quarterly MMR's and ensure vehicles are in compliance with FedEx by coordinating with Fleet Management Company 10) Running 6 Day operations by training and preparing lead drivers as needed. 11) Training Drivers to perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections every day. 12) Ability to run the route as required when short of drivers/not showing up etc..,

Experience and Requirements:

1) Must have prior FedEx delivery driving experience in Residential, Business and Overlap scenarios for at least 5 years 2) Must be living or willing to move close to Ocala, FL area 3) Prior FedEx operations management experience is must 4) Who can start ASAP.
