We are looking for an experienced, dependable Assistant Operations Manager to join our team and help oversee our daily field operations. This is a hands-on management position for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, maintaining high standards, and being part of the cleaning operation. Position Overview The Assistant Operations Manager will work approximately half of the time cleaning with a team and approximately the other half of the time performing field supervision and operational management responsibilities. This position will help manage multiple cleaning teams, maintain quality standards, coordinate daily schedules, support employees, communicate with customers, conduct estimates, and assist the owner/manager with the day-to-day operation of the company. The ideal candidate is someone who can confidently move between cleaning a home, inspecting another team's work, handling a customer concern, adjusting the day's schedule, and helping an employee solve a problem.Key Responsibilities:
Manage Daily Field Operations:
Oversee multiple cleaning teams, coordinate daily schedules, respond to employee call-outs, fill in when needed, monitor productivity and labor efficiency, and help ensure teams remain on schedule.Maintain Quality Standards:
Clean residential homes as part of a team approximately half of the time, conduct quality-control inspections, ensure company cleaning standards are followed, and provide coaching and feedback to improve team performance.Lead & Support Employees:
Train and onboard employees, monitor performance and attendance, address employee concerns, participate in hiring and disciplinary decisions, and communicate significant personnel issues to the owner/manager.Manage Customers & Business Operations:
Handle routine customer concerns and service issues, support customer retention, conduct in-home cleaning estimates, manage inventory and supplies, and escalate significant customer or operational issues to the owner/manager.Use Technology & Company Systems:
Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for daily business activities. Experience with MaidEasy or another CRM/cleaning-management system is preferred.Experience:
Previous experience in residential or commercial cleaning preferred Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred Strong understanding of professional cleaning standards and techniques Ability to clean homes to a high professional standard Excellent communication and customer-service skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and make sound decisions Dependable attendance and punctuality Professional appearance and conduct Ability to provide constructive feedback and hold employees accountable Valid driver's license Ability to work Monday-Friday during normal business hours.
