JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Manager Strategic Initiatives plays a critical role in driving cross-functional alignment, execution, and impact across the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, they lead high-priority programs and initiatives that advance the company's strategic objectives, strengthen operational performance, and enhance organizational collaboration. They partner with senior leaders and functional teams to: Translate strategic goals into actionable plans Ensure accountability for delivery Establish governance frameworks that enable disciplined execution and measurable outcomes They work closely with leaders across the organization to bring new concepts, processes, and initiatives to life and ensure timely completion of assigned initiatives. They are an effective leader, who is highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively across functions as well as able to multi-task and successfully handle the execution of several strategic initiatives in parallel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead planning, execution, and governance of cross-functional strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities. Partner with senior leadership to translate executive objectives into clear scope, workplans, with milestones success criteria across assigned programs/initiatives. Drive accountability across teams by establishing reporting cadences, project dashboards, and KPIs for major initiatives. Act as a central coordination point for initiatives that have stakeholders across multiple functions, mitigating risks and highlighting roadblocks to Sr. Management. Facilitate executive reviews and prepare high-quality materials for C-suite and Board-level discussions. Identify, standardize, and advocate best practices in program and project management to increase organizational efficiency. Support the Chief of Staff in ensuring consistent execution rhythm across the executive team and company functions. Support the governance, communication and alignment of our strategy to key stakeholder groups; notably Corporate, the other DHL eCommerce regions, and other DHL group Divisions. Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the organization's ability to meet its strategic, financial, and technical goals. Set up central PMO for success, including structured & centralized approach for reporting and managing programs across the company.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
Strong program and project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple large-scale initiatives simultaneously. Strategic thinker who can distill complex problems into actionable solutions and drive consensus. Excellent business judgment and ability to think strategically and execute methodically. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, drive actions and evaluate outcomes. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability of taking ownership, managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously and successfully delivering results in a fast pace, dynamic environment. Demonstrated record of partnering with teams across the organization and influencing to achieve business results across multiple teams who may have different goal. Proven ability to lead through influence and manage cross-functional teams without direct authority. Excellent communication and persuasion skills; demonstrated success building buy-in for an innovative and bold strategic vision. Exceptional executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree Business, Marketing, Industrial Engineering or other related degree required. 8+ years of related experience and 2+ years of experience in program management, strategy, consulting, or corporate initiatives. Experience working with C-level executives and managing high-visibility, enterprise-wide programs. PMP certification is a plus. Experience in ecommerce, Business to Consumer (B2C) shipping, logistics, or supply chain. Knowledge of USPS postal regulations a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting. Regular sitting at workstation for 25 - 75% of the work shift. Frequent standing and walking. Travel required
