Role Purpose Statement We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Transportation Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and is passionate about leading transportation teams to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time service delivery. This individual will oversee daily transportation operations, manage drivers and support staff, promote a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with all transportation regulations while delivering exceptional service to customers and stakeholders. Main Accountabilities Transportation Operations Oversee daily transportation operations to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries. Conduct daily team meetings and communicate operational priorities. Manage staffing, schedules, productivity, and overtime to meet service requirements. Monitor route performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. Coordinate with Operations and other departments to support business objectives. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company policies. Promote a strong safety culture through training, coaching, and performance monitoring. Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions as needed. Maintain accurate transportation and regulatory records. Leadership Lead, coach, and develop drivers and transportation team members. Foster employee engagement, accountability, and teamwork. Manage performance, attendance, and employee development in accordance with company policies. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum of 2-5 years of transportation, logistics, fleet, distribution, or related supervisory experience. Proven leadership experience managing drivers, transportation personnel, or field operations teams. Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and transportation safety regulations. Experience with route planning, fleet management, dispatching, and transportation operations. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management systems (TMS), GPS, and fleet tracking software. Ability to analyze operational data and implement process improvements. Flexible schedule with the ability to support transportation operations during evenings, weekends, holidays, or emergency situations as needed.
