Our goal is to build a modern, professional septic operation known for quality workmanship, reliable service, homeowner education, and an exceptional customer experience. We are looking for an experienced septic professional who wants to help build the field operation from the ground up. This is a hands-on role that will initially include pumping, inspections, maintenance, and repairs, while also providing practical field expertise as we select equipment, establish our yard, develop operating procedures, and prepare for launch. We want someone who brings ideas to the table and is interested in helping us determine how to operate efficiently while maintaining a high standard of service. As the company grows, we envision this person taking on increasing responsibility for technicians, fleet and equipment, scheduling and field logistics, and the overall performance of our field services operation. Responsibilities Perform residential septic tank pumping, cleaning, inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs Safely operate and maintain septic pump trucks and related field equipment Accurately document service work, system conditions, repairs, and recommendations Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners regarding their septic systems and recommended work Follow applicable Georgia DPH, DOT, environmental, safety, and wastewater handling requirements Assist with evaluating and selecting pump trucks, tools, and other field equipment Provide input into yard setup, equipment storage, maintenance processes, and field logistics Help develop field procedures, service standards, safety practices, and operating protocols Help establish efficient routing, pumping, and disposal practices to maximize truck capacity and technician productivity Provide input into procedures for after-hours calls and other field operational needs Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality, and the customer experience Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and mentoring additional field technicians as the business grows Take on increasing responsibility for coordinating and leading field personnel as the operation expands Qualifications Valid CDL and clean driving record Current Georgia DPH Septic Tank Pumper Certification required Georgia DPH Septic Tank Installer Certification preferred; ability and willingness to obtain certification after hire Minimum 5 years of hands-on septic industry experience Strong experience with septic pumping, inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs Thorough understanding of residential septic systems, pump trucks, and related field equipment Strong safety practices and familiarity with applicable DOT and environmental requirements Comfortable communicating directly with homeowners and explaining system conditions and recommended work Dependable, professional, and capable of working independently in the field Comfortable in a startup environment where processes and procedures will continue to develop Interested in helping build an operation rather than simply stepping into an established one Desire and ability to lead, train, and oversee additional field staff as the company grows What We Offer Competitive salary of $80,000 - $90,000, depending on experience Potential performance bonus tied to achievement of defined business growth milestones Paid time off Health insurance 401(k) Modern equipment and the opportunity to provide input into the trucks, tools, and systems used by the field team Opportunity to join the company before launch and directly influence how the field operation is built Significant professional growth opportunity as the company expands Potential advancement into a Field Services Team Lead or Field Operations leadership role
