This opportunity as an Operations Manager focuses on overseeing plant operations within a 24/7 manufacturing environment, ensuring efficient production execution, operational performance, employee development, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
Lead daily production, warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality performance Manage production schedules and warehouse activities to meet customer delivery requirements Ensure compliance with safety, quality, housekeeping, and operational standards throughout the facility Hire, train, coach, and develop production and warehouse employees while managing attendance, scheduling, and performance matters Maintain appropriate staffing levels to support production and operational objectives Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost reduction Lead and support supervisors, engineering personnel, and warehouse leadership teams Coordinate production and shipping schedules with supply chain teams to ensure on-time customer fulfillment Partner with maintenance teams to maximize equipment reliability, performance, and uptime Collaborate with quality and technical teams to identify issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions Monitor workflow, labor utilization, and plant capacity to optimize operational performance Develop employee training programs and support workforce development initiatives Track and report key operational KPIs and performance metrics Ensure compliance with ISO standards and manufacturing quality systems Support operational budgeting, planning, and strategic improvement initiatives Perform additional plant operations and leadership duties as assigned
Required Experience:
Proven experience within chemical manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, process manufacturing, or similar production environments required Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience within a management role required Strong experience leading production, warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations Knowledge of process safety, manufacturing operations, and production management principles Experience driving continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or operational excellence initiatives preferred Strong leadership, coaching, employee development, and team-building skills Demonstrated success leading organizational change and operational improvement efforts Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Experience working within ISO-certified manufacturing environments preferred Familiarity with process controls, data analysis, and manufacturing systems preferred Ability to work within industrial manufacturing environments and support 24/7 operations Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical field preferred
