Water Mitigation Supervisor Find Great People Norcross, GA Job Details Full-time $25 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Water damage restoration Full Job Description Role Overview As a Water Mitigation Supervisor, you will serve as the on-site leader for mitigation projects, combining hands-on technical work with team oversight responsibilities. In addition to performing mitigation services, you will supervise field technicians and temporary labor, ensure quality standards are met, and act as a key link between the field team and project management. This role is ideal for an experienced technician ready to take the next step into leadership. Responsibilities Leadership & Team Supervision Lead and supervise field technicians and temporary labor on job sites Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently and to company standards Train and mentor junior technicians and new hires on proper mitigation procedures Review, approve, and sign off on timesheets Maintain accountability for team performance, productivity, and jobsite conduct Mitigation Field Operations Perform water mitigation services including water extraction, controlled demolition, removal of damaged materials, cleaning, and debris handling Set up, monitor, adjust, and retrieve drying and dehumidification equipment in accordance with I ICRC standards Ensure all mitigation work is completed safely, efficiently, and to scope Jobsite Setup & Teardown Oversee proper containment setup including plastic barriers, floor protection, and negative air systems Ensure protection of unaffected areas and proper handling of customer property Supervise safe removal, transport, and disposal of damaged materials Monitoring & Documentation Conduct and/or oversee daily monitoring (moisture readings, equipment checks, job progress) Ensure accurate and timely documentation in company systems (DASH) Verify job documentation completed by technicians is thorough and compliant Demolition & Material Handling Perform and oversee selective demolition (drywall, flooring, cabinetry, insulation) Safely lift, move, and manage equipment and materials on-site Ensure proper execution of demolition according to scope and safety standards Safety & Compliance Enforce adherence to IICRC, OSHA, and EPA regulations across all job sites Ensure proper use of PPE and maintain safe, clean, and organized work environments Identify and correct unsafe behaviors or conditions immediately Equipment & Inventory Oversight Oversee proper use, care, and maintenance of all mitigation equipment Coordinate equipment staging, tracking, and returns Monitor consumables and communicate inventory needs to leadership Support warehouse organization and readiness Coordination & Communication Act as the primary field contact for Project Managers during active jobs Provide real-time updates on job status, challenges, and labor needs Assist in coordinating emergency response efforts, including after-hours or surge events Professional Development Lead by example in ongoing training, safety meetings, and certification efforts Continuously develop leadership and technical skills Promote a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement Qualifications 3-7+ years of water mitigation experience Prior lead, crew lead, or supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of IICRC standards and mitigation best practices Experience managing or directing teams and/or temporary labor Ability to balance hands-on work with leadership responsibilities Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work in fast-paced, emergency response environments #staffingl
