Iowa , Epworth Job Description We are seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to oversee daily operations in a precast concrete yard. This role is responsible for managing personnel, coordinating logistics, and ensuring safe, efficient handling and storage of precast products. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and a solid understanding of crane and rigging operations.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily field operations, including handling, storage, and movement of precast products. Supervise and schedule field personnel; provide training, feedback, and performance evaluations. Ensure safe rigging, lifting, and loading of precast panels using gantry cranes and related equipment. Prepare and organize concrete panels for shipping in coordination with logistics and production teams. Maintain high safety standards and enforce proper procedures for crane operation and material handling. Communicate effectively with crane operators using two-way headsets and hand signals. Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in precast concrete, construction, or a related industry preferred. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team. Reliable and safety-focused work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and stand for 8-12 hours per day. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
