Job Description

Under the general direction of the Deputy Public Services Director, supervises the City's operations maintenance activities and crews. Develops specifications, processes invoices on materials and equipment as needed, and purchases materials and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures. Assists with specials projects and/or ongoing assessment of existing work methods and levels of service. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of additional related schooling, including management course work, plus at least three (3) years of related work experience or high school diploma or equivalent with at least five (5) years of progressively responsible related experience. Supervisor experience preferred. Thorough knowledge of associated municipal infrastructure maintenance operations. Thorough knowledge of municipal construction, MUTCD standards, and Public Services related equipment. A Civil Service Examination will be administered for this position. Applicants submitting all required application materials, meeting the minimum qualifications for the position and receiving a passing score on the written questionnaire will be invited to continue in the Civil Service Examination process. The next steps include completing the Predictive Index (PI) survey and participating in an oral board interview. Oral board interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week of June 15, 2026. All dates are tentative and subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
