Job Description
Director of Operations & Events at the Chateau des Fleurs.
Team Building. Lead a team of 15-40 across restaurant FOH/BOH, event/banquet staff, and sales support. Hire well, train rigorously, and create a culture people want to stay in. Sales Pipeline. Steward the lead-to-booking process, site tours, proposals, contracts, and tastings. Refine strategy and packaging.
Operational Excellence. Tighten invoicing accuracy, billing transparency, and event-day execution so every guest experience reflects the same level of care. Who We're Looking For We are open to several backgrounds, including: General Manager of a country club or private club Director or Head of a wedding/event venue General Manager of a fine-dining restaurant with banquet or private-event responsibility Banquet / F&B Director from a luxury hotel or resort Years of experience matter less to us than evidence of a real track record. We want to see that you have personally moved the numbers, built the team, and hosted the room. Must-Have Capabilities Demonstrated P&L ownership with concrete cost-control and vendor-negotiation results you can speak to specifically. Wine and beverage program experience list-building, purchasing, inventory management, staff education. Team building and training in a high-standards environment, with a record of hiring well and developing people. A calm, gracious, hospitable presence in front of clients on their most important days. Comfort with the realities of an events-driven business: evenings, weekends, peak seasons, and the occasional 18-hour wedding day. Strong organizational discipline you live by checklists, calendars, and run-of-show documents. Nice to Have Wedding-specific operational experience. Familiarity with event CRMs (HoneyBook, Triple Seat, AllSeated, or similar). Sommelier certification or formal wine education. Experience working closely with an owner-operator and translating their vision into day-to-day operations. About the Opportunity A premier, family-owned event center and fine-dining restaurant in Eagle, Idaho is hiring a Director of Operations & Events to lead the entire operation end-to-end. We are one of the Treasure Valley's most recognized wedding and special-event destinations, with two elegant ballrooms, business dining rooms and an on-site fine-dining restaurant, expansive gardens, and a private-label wine program. Our reputation has been built on craftsmanship, warmth, and meticulous detail and we are looking for an experienced leader who can both protect that reputation and continue to elevate it. This is not a coordinator role. The Director of Operations & Events runs the business: event sales and execution, restaurant operations, financial performance, vendor relationships, beverage program, and team development. You will be the most senior on-site leader, the person our clients trust and our team looks to. What You'll Own Event Center Leadership. Oversee 75-150 weddings and special events annually, from first inquiry through flawless execution. Ensure every couple and every host receives white-glove service from the moment they tour the property. Restaurant Leadership. Partner with the kitchen team to run a beloved fine-dining restaurant with a strong, loyal following. Drive service consistency, cover counts, ticket times, and an exceptional guest experience. Financial Performance. Own the P&L. Manage labor, COGS, and vendor contracts. Track margins, build budgets, and protect profitability without compromising the quality our guests expect. Vendor & Cost Negotiation. Identify and lock in advantageous deals across food, beverage, florals, rentals, linens, AV, and service partners. Bring strong instincts for sourcing, leverage, and long-term partnerships. Beverage & Wine Program. Build the private wine label, manage beverage inventory, train staff on service, and lead pairing-driven moments throughout the year.Team Building.
