Job Description
Operations Manager
- Idaho Falls iWest Companies is looking for an Operations Manager for our Idaho Falls branch.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and teach the iWest Core Values at every opportunity.
- Lead, manage, develop, and inspire the local Operations team daily, showing a strong Commitment to our People value.
- Ensure Extraordinary Service Experiences are delivered to both our internal and external partners.
- Develop and maintain strong, trusting, high quality partnerships, both inside and outside of the organization.
- Teach, demonstrate, and hold team members accountable to DOT safety standards and all iWest compliance requirements.
- Ensure strategic, high-quality execution of dispatch and schedule fulfillment in all departments and divisions of local operations.
- Practice the tenets of Servant Leadership and continuously look for opportunities to remove obstacles and support the Assistant Operations Lead, Assistant Operations Lead/Warehouse, and the Final Mile Market Lead.
- Work with the Assistant Operations Lead and Local CSR to ensure all jobs are scheduled and staffed accordingly.
- Work with the Final Mile Market Lead to ensure all Final Mile partners' expectations are met and hold the team accountable to the metrics established for each customer.
- Work with the Assistant Operations Lead/Warehouse to ensure daily warehousing processes are followed effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure all crews have the proper attire, safety equipment, and any materials and supplies needed for the assigned job.
- Ensure all crews keep their equipment, vehicles, and trailers in clean working order. In the event something is non-serviceable, use approved processes to resolve the issue and bring them to the attention of the General Manager and the Fleet Manager.
- Hold leaders and teams accountable to all inspection guidelines, including Samsara, DOT, and Atlas regulations.
- Review paperwork for all completed work and ensure it is in order and filled out correctly by the right parties daily.
- Work with potential drivers on basic driver training and skills such as vehicle inspections, vehicle pre/post-trips, and vehicle operations.
- Navigate, model, and teach all driver and delivery software platforms as required by iWest guidelines or Partner requirements.
- Ensure all operational team members receive the proper training to complete their position assignments, to include initial and refresher training classes.
- Conduct Ride Behinds and Quality Control Site Surveys as needed to ensure iWest and partner standards are being met on the road and at customer sites.
- Continuously anticipate challenges that may affect the business and quickly roll out plans to solve problems and maximize opportunities.
- Actively maintains operational accountability for productivity and performance of all operations teams in accordance with iWest standards i.e. productivity tracker, partner metrics, safety and claims numbers, and ensure all metric expectations are met.
- Assume duties of the Assistant Operations Lead, Assistant Operations Lead/Warehouse, and Final Mile Site Leader in their absence.
- Any other assignments, tasks, or functions as delivered by the General Manager, VP of Operations, or Leadership Team.

- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and crouch for extended periods of time.
- Strong computer skills and understanding of Microsoft and Google based applications.
- Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of Supervisor or Management experience in leading diverse teams.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience of relevant operations management experience including scheduling, dispatch, people management, and logistics.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred, but not required.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and Google products knowledge.
- Forklift Certification/Ability to pass onsite Forklift Certification.
- Solid geographic region knowledge.
- Experience with Windfall or MoversSuite WMS is a plus!

Monday- Friday
- Occasional Saturdays may be required.
Compensation Salary:
Starting at $80,000/Annual Salary- based on experience.
