Full-time Operations Manager Manager:
This position reports to the CEOs/Owners and is a member of the management team.
Wage:
This is a part-time, hourly position estimated at 20 hours per week. This is a year-round, non-exempt position. The operations manager is an at-will employee in the state of Idaho.

This individual will work directly with owners as well as the FOH and BOH management team members to create, implement and oversee regular FOH/BOH operational functions including but not limited to logistics and systems management, hiring/training, COGS and Inventory, cost control and tracking. This individual will know the ins and outs of our operation. They will be keenly aware of and monitoring labor costs, waste, pricing, payroll, and systems to increase efficiency and productivity across all departments.
COGS Oversight:
Track COGS Pricing using ExtraChef to ensure FOH and BOH management are aware of changes and implement course corrections in real-time. Pricing & Margin Management. Work with the management team and CEOs to ensure proper pricing and margin goals are met. Support the FOH management team in utilizing the POS to ensure streamlined profit and loss reporting. Ensure all items are entered accurately and priced to meet margin requirements
Inventory & Waste:
Track inventory (goods ordered, on-hand, sold, and waste) and work with appropriate leaders to ensure materials on hand are sufficient to meet demand of restaurant guests
Systems Management :
Oversees the implementation of systems to help increase the efficiencies of the Matchwood team including google drive organization, Slack, Sling, email, and others. Weekly Financial & Operations Reporting Compiles, reviews, and reports upwards and to other managers to ensure real-time analysis allows for changes/updates as needed. Run weekly financial report section at the Management Meetings Produce and review weekly reports to ensure target margins and budgetary goals are being met Inform individual management team members of issues re portions, inconsistencies, pricing issues, guest complaints, and owner feedback as it relates to the bottom line.
Labor & Tip Management:
Work to meet a maximum staffing cost percentage on a daily basis to ensure labor overhead matches the volume of sales effectively through oversight of the following systems: HR Oversight; Add and or Remove Employees in Payroll System to ensure clock-in capabilities are turned on for start date and turned off on last day; Update pay, roles, and or status as needed. Add/Remove New Employees to MBC systems as needed (i.e. Slack, Sling, Door Codes, Etc)
Benefits Management :
Track PTO and other benefits per employee handbook
Schedule Oversight:
Review and approve schedule drafts from FOH and BOH management to ensure it meets standard of service and cost criteria including but not limited to adequate staffing levels to meet guest satisfaction and business demands/trends; Labor cost percentage targets, large scheduled events or catering demands, and/or external factors such as weather, holiday, or historic opportunities.
Timecard Management:
Review and approve timecards, make corrections as needed. Train staff on proper clock-in, clock-out procedures.
Payroll Management:
Runs Payroll on a weekly basis using Toast Payroll with support of the Owners.
Cash Management:
Counts and replenishes cash drawers, counts deposits for accuracy and brings them to the bank. Gets additional cash for major events, as needed. General operations tasks as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications Experience:
2+ years of restaurant/hospitality management or similar role in different industry. Finance degree or certifications are a bonus. Experience with POS, Payroll systems, Slack, Sling, Toast, Canva, Google Suites, Etc.
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and math skills.
Knowledge:
Proficient in restaurant management software, inventory management, and labor scheduling.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand/walk for long periods, lift, and work in fast-paced environments. Able to work late nights, weekends and holidays.
