Alton, Illinois Support Services Days Full-Time 109047 STL1-E32 $52,083.20 - $84,822.40 / year (Salary or hourly rate is based on job qualifications and relevant work experience) Job Description Additional Information About the Role Join Alton Memorial's Patient Care Operations team! Overview Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Serves as the primary contact and liaison between patient care areas, ancillary and support departments within the organization. Interacts with all levels of management to coordinate business, administrative and non-patient care operational activities. Supervises staff. Responsibilities Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals. Coordinates non-patient care operations of assigned areas through integration with other departments. Supervises and provides continuous training for staff. Facilitates acquisition of supplies, equipment and services throughout hospital departments. Plans, develops, recommends and coordinates processes and strategies to identify revenue opportunities.
