Operations Supervisor Bolingbrook, IL Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications Bilingual Manufacturing management Maintaining an organized workspace Operations management Packing Mid-level Manufacturing standard operating procedures Supervising experience Continuous improvement Task prioritization Production planning Conflict management Warehouse safety management Quality control operations Workplace health and safety regulatory compliance Quality standards in production Productivity software Training & development Clean workspace maintenance Picking & packing Order picking Production scheduling Leadership Implementing cost-saving initiatives Team motivation (leadership skill) Communication skills Overseeing training Time management Performance evaluation Full Job Description Responsible for the management of a team performing daily picking, packing, checking and shipping of orders in a zone or multiple zones to exceed client and company standards Ensure shipping routing guides are met Coach, counsel, communicate and motivate staff to exceed client and company standards Supervise production schedules to ensure that production builds are met Ensure all employees have the proper training in their given field and make certain that they approach their work in compliance with the programs, procedures, and policies that have been instilled Provides or otherwise assigns training, as required to assure processes and standards are met Keep track of group attendance on a daily basis Provides recommendation and input into the employee evaluation and disciplinary processes Work with the process improvement and quality teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production problems Minimizes waste and cost and ensures conformance to safety and quality standards Generate ideas and implement changes in processes and use of equipment to increase efficiency, improve safety and quality, reduce costs, and improve employee morale Ensure adherence to Company policies and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) Maintain line cleanliness through good housekeeping practices. Develops appropriate programs in areas needing improvement planning. Responsible for safety on the line and for adhering to all safety rules and programs, and for attending all required safety training. Manage zone or zones to ensure daily picking, packing and shipping are done according to PBD standards Monitor productivity and quality control processes in zone and make required adjustments to achieve expected benchmarks Maintain a safe, clean and quality centered zone Interact with appropriate staff on various work-related issues as they arise Promote teamwork Qualification Requirements Strong leadership skills Thorough product knowledge Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to prioritize multiple tasks daily Set appropriate expectations with employees keeping "customer service" as a guiding factor Successfully cope with demands from managers, subordinates and peers Keep well informed, follow policy and procedures and display consistency Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train associates as well as plan, monitor and schedule work Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems Education/Experience 3+ years production supervisory or leadership role a plus. Skills Leadership, Conflict resolution Time Management, Communication Knowledge of Microsoft Office a plus Bi lingual is a plus
