at Midwest Industrial Rubber Inc. in Franklin Park, Illinois, United States Job Description As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for building the team and ensure that the facility efficiently delivers the production of goods and services while meeting the right safety, quality, delivery, and inventory and productivity targets. You will report to the General Manager and be part of the Management team. In this role, you will oversee the entire production team and will be based in Franklin Park, IL, United States. A day in the life of an Operations Manager can look like Creating standard operational and working practices. Building manufacturing goals by communication job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Managing production operations and establishing manufacturing act ivies to ensure production goals are met Working with other areas of production on various assignments as needed Develops staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees to facilitate personal growth opportunities. Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data and manages Daily Management meetings. Reinforces good safety practices, investigates near misses and incidents and works to identify root cause with recommended solutions. Injects quality into the manufacturing process with focus on continuous improvement and well-documented processes and procedures. Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. We are looking for you to have Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field Minimum of seven years of previous, relevant engineering, operations management experience preferred Minimum of five years of previous supervisory experience Physical requirements, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear Leadership acumen Positive team spirit.
