This is a multi-site leadership role covering terminals and plants in multiple states, integrating
FMCSA/PHMSA
transportation safety with chemical EHS excellence. Your Core Mandate Transportation Safety (FMCSA/PHMSA) Manage Driver Qualification Files and assure complete, current records. Administer Drug & Alcohol programs and audits. Maintain tight Hours of Service compliance. Coordinate DOT inspections and track
CSA BASIC
metrics. Lead hazmat driver training and regulatory conformance. Chemical EHS & Environmental Compliance Run SARA Tier II reporting cycles with accuracy and timeliness. Own Hazard Communication programs and employee training. Prepare for EPA inspections and steward corrective actions. Maintain SPCC plans and secondary containment integrity. Ensure compliant chemical storage and handling practices. Regulatory Audit Leadership Lead readiness for DOT, EPA, and OSHA inspections. Guide participation in industry schemes such as ACD Responsible Distribution (or similar). Multi-Site Program Deployment Standardize and implement EHS programs across multiple terminals/facilities and states. Establish governance, scorecards, and coaching rhythms. Incident Prevention & Risk Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions. Develop practical safety programs, driver coaching, and accountability processes. Use data to monitor performance and reduce incidents. What Makes You a Fit Direct leadership experience in hazmat fleet safety (not limited to general trucking or warehouse environments). Background managing EHS within chemical manufacturing, distribution, or hazmat facilities. Proven success leading programs across multiple sites and states. Proficiencies We Expect Hazardous Materials Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification Workplace Safety & EHS Management DOT & Equipment Inspection Compliance Compensation $75,000/year - $95,000/year (based on experience)
