Full Job Description Summary:
The Operations Supervisor is overall responsible for customer service representation, account management for existing accounts, inventory management, and logistics management. He/She ensures all day-to-day operations are running smoothly and efficiently, and result in high customer satisfaction. The Operations Supervisor reports directly to the General Manager.
Key responsibilities:
Customer Service Representative, act as the inside-sales and operations liaison with the customers, identify and take ownership of customers' needs to achieve satisfaction Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication Issue quotations for new RFQ's Keep RFQ trackers up-to-date and chair the RFQ review meeting Entry of customer orders, place internal purchase orders to our sourcing offices, and tracks on-time performance Organize and chair operations review meetings with customers Inventory Management, ensure an optimal inventory level to secure a continuous supply to the customer while avoiding excess inventory Schedule and monitor incoming shipments from overseas sourcing locations Schedule outgoing domestic shipments to the customers, including order picking where needed Continuous improvement of the company's operational processes Office administration
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Quality Management, or related fields An additional degree in Business is a plus. 10+ years of experience in operations management or a related field. Empathetic, able to put him/herself in the customer's shoes and advocate for the customers within the company Problem-solving mentality Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently, but also a strong collaborator with global peers Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously
