Job Description

Reading Power, Inc. Site Coordinator Job Description Working in partnership with underserved schools, Reading Power provides one-to-one tutoring during the school day for children in preschool through second grade.

Our mission is to accelerate children's literacy learning and to develop a love of reading and writing. The Site Coordinator will report to the Director of Programs.
Responsibilities include:
Lead tutoring program at school site Communicate with and manage tutors Create and send weekly tutor newsletter Assess students for identification and periodic growth Collaborate with school staff to identify and monitor students Participate in staff training and monthly meetings Participate in tutor training and events Prepare site and materials for tutoring Create and maintain an organized classroom environment Maintain accurate student records Monitor student progress via assessments, student folders, and daily lesson plan Lead daily tutor meetings to provide ongoing training and additional support Attend school literacy events Tutor at least one student Attend professional development opportunities Serve as a Reading Power ambassador
Qualifications:
Degree in Education; previous experience in early childhood education preferred Strong organization and communication skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Proficiency with technology and Google platforms Passion for the organization and mission Part-time position, 3 days/wk, salary range $18,000
