7/20/26 Position Overview The District MTSS Coordinator provides district-wide leadership for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). This role supplements core instruction by improving educator effectiveness. Funded through Title II, this position focuses on strengthening instructional practices, expanding evidence-based intervention systems in literacy and mathematics, and enhancing behavioral supports. The Coordinator ensures that all systems are data-driven, aligned to district goals, and implemented with fidelity across schools. The District MTSS Coordinator ensures the district sustains recent literacy gains while expanding structured math and behavioral intervention systems in alignment with upcoming state expectations. Responsibilities Lead implementation of district-wide MTSS framework. Develop and monitor Tier I, II, and III intervention systems. Ensure alignment between MTSS, school improvement plans, and district goals. Support building-level MTSS teams and ensure fidelity of implementation. Collaborate with and support instructional coaches, interventionists and instructional paraprofessionals. Develop systems for job-embedded professional development. Build teacher capacity in evidence-based literacy and math practices. Monitor effectiveness of coaching through student performance data. Facilitate professional learning communities focused on differentiation and intervention. Support implementation of structured literacy and math intervention systems. Lead expansion of tiered math interventions aligned to upcoming IDOE expectations Monitor intervention effectiveness using district and state assessment data (IREAD, ILEARN, universal screeners). Analyze discipline and attendance data to inform interventions. Promote safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments. Support administrators, instructional coaches, literacy coaches, and interventionists in implementing MTSS with fidelity. Analyze student achievement and growth data. Establish measurable goals for literacy and math improvement. Monitor progress toward district and school-level targets. Prepare reports for district leadership and School Board presentations. Collaborate with the Office of Federal Programs and Curriculum Department on planning and reporting. Maintain documentation for federal monitoring and audits. Serve on the district professional development team. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
