Job Description
Operations Manager - (Lakeshore Landscaping, Valparaiso, IN) The Operations Manager is an important and influential member of our team who leads and directs the operations of Lakeshore. This leader directly oversees Lawn Maintenance representing approximately 20-25 production team members whose main goal is to provide services in alignment with customer expectations, company values, and safety standards. At Lakeshore, management, leadership, and collaboration skills are essential. Operations Managers are a central representation of company values, culture, and team member engagement. Additional key responsibilities include coaching and developing team members, partnering with customer service teams, driving operational efficiency, planning and managing resources to meet customer needs. Main Areas of Focus Leadership & Team Development Landscape Maintenance & Snow Operations Scheduling, Planning, & Operational Execution Service Quality & Customer Satisfaction Safety Leadership & Compliance Equipment, Fleet, & Resource Management Communication, Accountability, & Problem Solving Successful Operations Managers have experience leading lawn and landscape maintenance operations, including mowing, landscape maintenance, enhancements, snow and ice management, and related field services. Candidates should possess strong leadership skills, emotional intelligence, professionalism, the ability to build accountability and trust across teams in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate outstanding communication skills with managers thru to team members alike. This role is primarily first shift during the landscape season and requires leadership presence from early morning crew dispatch through the afternoon. During the winter months, the role transitions into snow and ice management operations, requiring involvement outside of normal working hours, including overnight and third-shift operations based on weather events and operational needs.
