Operations Supervisor

Job description: Assist the Operations Supervisor with the daily management of assets and human resources including application of Company policies and procedures to achieve efficiency, profitability and good working relations with dispatch, employee drivers, owner-operators, customers, and the public.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee driver activity to ensure high standards of operation. Informs Branch Operations Manager of daily activity. Ensures customer satisfaction. Recommends training, coaching and discipline. Assists in overseeing the warehouse function. Train and coach messengers Ensures compliance with federal and local labor laws to limit Company liability. Utilizes standard selection orientation and training process. Assist with driver training and orientation. Oversee sortation of freight Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma required; but a college degree is preferred Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation and/or logistics. High degree of self-discipline Outstanding verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Good organizational skills. Familiar with scanning freight in a fast-paced environment Computer literate and able to help troubleshoot drivers with our proprietary mobile app
