Industrial Hydro Blasting and Vacuum Operations Supervisor Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Industrial Hydro Blasting and Vacuum Operations Supervisor to oversee our team of technicians in executing hydro blasting and vacuum operations efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in industrial cleaning methods, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards. This role involves monitoring safety and production, conducting Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and serving as the primary interface with customers.
Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
Provide leadership and guidance to a team of hydro blasting and vacuum operations technicians. Assign tasks, manage schedules, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and training as needed.
Safety Monitoring and Compliance:
Monitor safety practices during hydro blasting and vacuum operations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for each project to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures. Investigate and report any safety incidents or near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Production Oversight:
Oversee the execution of hydro blasting and vacuum operations to ensure timely completion of projects. Monitor equipment performance and maintenance to maximize operational efficiency. Collaborate with the planning and logistics team to optimize resource allocation and meet production targets.
Customer Interface:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, concerns, and project requirements. Maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and proactive problem-solving. Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality services and meeting or exceeding expectations.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including project documentation, safety reports, and equipment maintenance logs. Generate reports on safety performance, production metrics, and customer feedback for management review. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Proven experience in industrial hydro blasting and vacuum operations, with at least [X years] of supervisory experience. Demonstrated expertise in conducting Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Leadership Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a culture of safety and accountability. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and customers.
Technical Knowledge:
Comprehensive understanding of hydro blasting and vacuum equipment, techniques, and applications. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices in industrial cleaning and safety.
Problem-Solving Abilities:
Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess situations, identify issues, and implement effective solutions. Capacity to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications in industrial safety, such as OSHA 30-Hour General Industry or equivalent. Any additional certifications related to hydro blasting, vacuum operations, or leadership are a plus.
