About Us Surge Entertainment by Drew Brees is one of the fastest-growing Family Entertainment Center (FEC) brands in the country. Our venues combine exciting attractions including bowling, laser tag, arcade games, sports simulators, go-karts, and more with a chef-driven restaurant and full-service bar to create unforgettable experiences for guests of all ages. We are seeking an experienced and energetic Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of our high-volume entertainment centers. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, leading departments, driving financial performance, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring operational excellence across all areas of the facility. Position Summary The Operations Manager serves as a key member of the leadership team and is responsible for the day-to-day management of attractions, arcade, food and beverage, guest services, maintenance, and facility operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in hospitality, entertainment, restaurant, amusement, or multi-unit operations. This position requires a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong teams, and consistently delivers outstanding guest experiences. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop department managers and hourly team members. Foster a positive, guest-focused culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence. Conduct regular manager meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions. Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training of team members and managers. Create development plans and succession strategies for future leaders. Guest Experience Ensure every guest receives exceptional service and an outstanding entertainment experience. Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally. Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, and satisfaction scores to identify opportunities for improvement. Drive initiatives that increase guest loyalty, repeat visits, and positive reviews. Operational Excellence Oversee daily operations of attractions, arcade, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest service departments. Ensure all operating procedures, safety standards, and company policies are consistently followed. Monitor facility cleanliness, appearance, and functionality throughout all operating hours. Maintain compliance with health, safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements. Support special events, birthday parties, corporate events, and group bookings. Financial Performance Drive revenue growth through effective operational execution and guest engagement. Manage labor scheduling to meet business demands while maintaining labor targets. Monitor key performance indicators including sales, labor costs, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and expense control. Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Attractions & Facility Management Ensure attractions are operating safely and efficiently. Partner with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maximize guest satisfaction. Maintain compliance with all amusement ride, safety, and facility regulations. Assist with new attraction launches, operational initiatives, and company growth projects. Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with frequent distractions while maintaining a high level of attentiveness and professionalism. Actively stand and walk for up to 100% of the scheduled shift and move throughout the facility as needed. Qualifications/Required Experience 3+ years of management experience in a Family Entertainment Center, hospitality, restaurant, amusement, recreation, or similar high-volume environment. Proven experience leading large teams and multiple departments. Strong operational and financial management skills. Experience managing guest service and customer satisfaction initiatives. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Family Entertainment Centers, bowling centers, amusement parks, entertainment venues, or hospitality operations. Food and beverage management experience. Knowledge of labor management, scheduling, and inventory controls. Experience with POS, arcade management, or entertainment management systems.
