Job Description

Overview We are looking for a driven, hands-on General Manager to oversee the daily operations of a 12-unit hotel/short-term rental property and an on-site café located near the FQ. This is a unique opportunity to lead a small, close-knit operation in New Orleans, combining guest experience management with food & beverage service. The right candidate is equally comfortable pulling an espresso shot and reviewing booking analytics. Responsibilities Oversee daily hotel operations, including bookings, communication, guest services, and housekeeping coordination to ensure smooth functioning. Lead and supervise a small team of hospitality professionals, providing hiring, guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a motivated workforce. Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a memorable stay for all visitors. Implement revenue management strategies to optimize occupancy rates and maximize profitability through effective pricing and promotional initiatives. Coordinate with ownership on staffing needs, onboarding new team members, and maintaining a positive workplace culture. Monitor budgeting processes, control expenses, and ensure adherence to financial targets while maintaining high service standards. Foster a hospitality-focused environment that emphasizes exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction at every touchpoint. Qualifications Proven supervising experience within the hospitality industry or cafe setting. Strong background in hospitality management with comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations and guest services. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage diverse staff effectively. Experience in revenue management, budgeting, human resources, and guest relations is highly desirable. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele more effectively.
