Development Operations Manager Reports To:
Chief Development Officer Key Responsibilities:
Donor Database Optimization:
Manage the Raiser's Edge NXT donor database to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely data input and export. Maintain high standards for data integrity, including timely and accurate gift entry, constituent record updates, and consistent use of data entry policies and procedures. Proactively adapt to changing departmental needs and strategic initiatives. Engage in ongoing training and industry best practice implementation.
Donor Stewardship:
Execute day-to-day stewardship, including personalized and segmented gift acknowledgment letters and gift receipts. Proactively create and share lists and reports with the development team to support proper stewardship and follow-up efforts. Partner with development colleagues to execute donor stewardship events.
Donor and Prospect Research:
Conduct individual and organizational donor research using public data sources and prospect research tools. Identify new prospects and prioritize them for both individual and grant solicitation. Update and maintain prospect profiles and track alignment with department strategies. Prepare targeted mailing lists for appeals, communications, and events.
Donor Pipeline and Portfolio Management:
Collaborate with the CDO to manage and maintain fundraising portfolios and donor pipelines. Prepare and share regular pipeline and portfolio performance reports. Coordinate internal production and mailing schedules related to donor outreach.
Online Giving & Event Platform Oversight:
Oversee Raiser's Edge NXT online giving tools and OneCause event platforms to ensure donor-friendly functionality and accurate data collection. Ensure all current and future systems are configured to support timely and insightful reporting. Recommend and implement innovative improvements as needed.
Reporting & Analytics:
Generate and deliver segmented reports and donor lists with accuracy and timeliness. Produce monthly fundraising reports for leadership. Prepare mailing lists for appeals, events, and publications as requested.
Development Team & Finance Support:
Work with the Finance Department to ensure accurate gift reconciliation and record-keeping. Assist with logistics and operations for key donor and community engagement events Support colleagues in the creation and submission of purchase orders, invoices, and new vendor documentation Manage team meeting agendas to support efficient conversations Additional Responsibilities Attend occasional evening or weekend events. Perform special projects as assigned by the CDO. Attend off-site meetings and run local errands using a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed). Qualifications 2+ years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, or sales database management. Minimum of 1 year of hands-on Raiser's Edge experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively and maintain positive working relationships. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English without restriction. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Notes Must pass FBI and/or CORI background check prior to starting employment. This is a full-time, exempt position. This position requires current COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccinations, subject to medical or religious exemption requests.
