Your role:
Lead end-to-end strategy development for Life Science on a global scale, shaping priorities through an in-depth understanding of the market, customers, competitors, and the organization. Specifically, you will: Align strategic objectives with capabilities, capacity, and financial resources across the sector; collaborate closely with finance, business, HR, and other functions. Lead Life Science strategic programs and projects to ensure realization of strategic vision and plans. Ensure balance between short-term objectives and long-term strategic value creation. Conduct market intelligence, assessing the industry, competitive landscape, and customer strategies, identifying opportunities for growth and response to threats and disruption. Enhance the use and utility of AI in market intelligence and strategy development as a source of differentiation. Work with the Life Science Executive Team to identify interdependencies, drive strategic alignment, prepare strategic decisions, cascade strategic objectives into the organization, and coordinate execution. Provide an inclusive and collaborative leadership style focusing on individual and organizational development; systematically improving strategy capabilities within the own team and beyond.
Who you are:
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's and postgraduate degrees (MBA, MS, PhD). 8+ years' experience developing and delivering strategic projects at the top level of complex organizations, e.g., in management consulting and corporate strategy roles. Strong preference for prior life science, biopharma, and/or biotech experience. Project leadership for tackling strategic, critical challenges. Proven self-starter, identifying and solving strategic challenges with limited guidance. Strong focus on impact over activity. Mobilization and leadership of cross-functional teams with wide ranges of skillsets and backgrounds. Relationship-building across a wide range of stakeholders and ability to drive diverse interests towards alignment. Effective communications of complex strategic topics to various audiences, including C-suite. Development of compelling documents and presentations at pace. Exceptional curiosity, rapid ramp up into new content and context. Prioritization across competing demands for attention and capacity. Understanding of the life sciences ecosystem, biopharma value chain, and market dynamics. Management and development of international, diverse teams. Strong analytical skills and quantitative / finance capabilities.
Preferred requirement:
Postgraduate degree (MBA, MS, PhD) in Business and/or Science.
On-site position:
4+ days/week (Burlington or Darmstadt office) and ability to travel (including internationally)
