Job Description

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the movie theater, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, strong team performance, and efficient business operations. This role requires leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to manage both staff and facility operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management Oversee all daily theater operations, including box office, concessions, and auditorium presentation Ensure all shows start on time and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety Monitor inventory, supplies, and equipment functionality Handle opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and safe count. Staff Leadership Hire, train, schedule, and supervise employees and supervisors Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment Address employee performance, conflicts, and development Ensure proper staffing levels during peak and off-peak hours Customer Experience Resolve guest concerns and complaints professionally and efficiently Maintain high standards of customer service across all departments Ensure compliance with company policies and theater standards Financial & Administrative Duties Manage labor costs, budgets, and daily revenue reporting Oversee cash handling, deposits, and financial accuracy Analyze sales trends and implement strategies to improve profitability Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations Maintain cleanliness and organization of all public and staff areas Enforce company policies and procedures Qualifications Previous management experience (preferred in hospitality, retail, or entertainment) Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Experience with scheduling, cash handling, and team supervision Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Preferred Skills Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure Customer service expertise Team-building and leadership development Basic technical knowledge of theater systems (projectors, POS systems, etc.)
