Immediately Job Description Performance Responsibilities 1.Manage all support for network, hardware and software 2.Work with administrators to gather requirements, select the technologies that provide the best solution, identify the products available that will best fit the solution proposed, and integrate with the existing IT infrastructure 3.Ensure compliance with all software licensing agreements. Manage and safeguard software media and associated licenses. Track software versions. Maintain centralized software use log. 4.Stay abreast of industry trends and makes recommendations regarding the enhancement of technology and systems capabilities in all areas of Information Technology 5.Participate in training on all emerging technology systems for current and new facilities 6.Develop and support new technology initiatives, such as, but not limited to, camera systems, badge readers, and phone systems 7.Coordinate training for all staff as technology systems are implemented 8.Prepares and administers the portion of the district's budget related to informational services and educational technology 9.Authorize preventive maintenance as well as general repair and replacement and all technology related purchases according to district standards 10.Review and update Acceptable Use Policy for students and staff as needed 11.Develop District Technology Plan and submit annual report to DESE 12.Facilitate the transition to the Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF) data system providing vertical, real time data updating between DESE and District. 13.Disseminate technology-related information throughout the district via email, newsletters and or presentations at district, building level and community meetings 14.Serves as the technology liaison to the local community and outside agencies 15.Coordinate services with outside support vendors. Perform special projects that fall out side the scope of vendor support 16.Facilitate the integration of technology across the curriculum, functioning as a resource for school administrators and instructional staff 17.Performs other appropriate related duties as assigned by the Superintendent
