USDA Operations Coordinator

Our client, a growing cold storage facility, is looking for a USDA Coordinator to join their team in Fall River, MA . This role supports compliance with USDA regulations by coordinating inspections, verifying documentation, and ensuring all import and export activities meet federal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage USDA import and export inspections in compliance with federal regulations Obtain, review, and verify health certifications to ensure products match required documentation Schedule and oversee USDA inspections and act as the liaison between inspectors, customers, and internal teams Coordinate labeling, staging, and approval stamping for inbound and outbound shipments Communicate with customers to resolve shipment discrepancies or rejected loads Ensure proper sanitization of USDA inspection rooms following inspections Support customer service activities, billing reviews, and shipment scheduling when needed Train additional team members on import/export procedures and USDA compliance standards

Requirements:

2-5 years of experience in USDA coordination, import/export compliance, or food logistics preferred Associate or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Logistics, or a related field preferred USDA compliance or HACCP certification is a plus Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy with compliance documentation Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to work in cold storage environments as low as•10°F and perform standing or walking tasks as required
