The Director of Venue Operations is responsible for participating in the development and implementation of venue and business strategies in addition to providing overall management of the entire Venue Operations department including the execution of various events. The Director of Venue Operations leads the entire event staff in providing the highest levels of efficient service, execution, and set up prior to each event. The ideal candidate will be passionate, innovative and creative with an attention to detail and the ability to meet the standards of service offered to our clients and guests. This individual will have a demonstrated background in executing high-level events, including luxury weddings. The Director of Venue Operations will also be responsible for the hands-on training of their staff while creating an unsurpassed luxury event experience for our clients and guests.

This individual is also not afraid to get in the trenches with their team when the situation calls for additional support.
Required Experience:
- At least 7 years of Venue / Banquet Manager or luxury / high-end food and beverage supervisory experience
- Proficient in Computer skills - Microsoft Office and Excel
- Must be available to work flexible hours, especially evenings and weekends
- Exceptional organizational, administrative, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a fast paced environment and ability to multi-task and work well under pressure while still being detail oriented, calm and personable
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and create and maintain a cohesive team environment
- Experience in cultivating staff engagement
Core Duties:
This is intended to represent the key duties for this position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage the entire Venue Operations department including overseeing coordination of all event set-up, execution, and breakdown
- Participate in developing department budget and capital planning
- Hiring, training and development of Venue Managers and event line staff
- Lead and supervise all BEO meetings and inter-departmental communications and coordination to prepare for, execute and follow-up on events.
- Ensure event spaces are maintained by the team with the highest standards of cleanliness and ambiance at all times (temperature, lighting, etc.)
- Perform daily walkthroughs in all venue spaces and store rooms to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations along with brand standards
- Supervise completion of monthly and quarterly inventory: beverage, china, glass, flatware, dry goods, paper supplies, equipment etc.
- Oversee event staff to ensure all events are properly set and carried out according to guest satisfaction
- Effectively collaborate between departments to ensure a positive experience for guests and employees
- Oversee onboarding and training of all line staff
- Ensure all staff timecards and payroll records are properly managed and approved by Venue Managers
- Perform other duties as necessary in support of the event operations.
Pay:
$95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
