Then this could be the job for you. We are looking to hire someone to work hybrid in the field and the office. This would include serving as a top move captain some days and being a junior operations manager with the potential to grow into a full-time operations manager.

To ensure proper staffing to maximize operations and perpetuate a culture of accountability, consistency, and order by upholding the Core Values of Always Branding, Building Leaders, Creating a Fun, Enthusiastic Team Environment and Listen, Fulfill and Delight our team members and clients.
About the position:
You will be the Operations Manager at College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving - Lowell, MA and be responsible for the day-to-day operations, training, and development of the Hunk Team. This includes but not limited to the following primary functions: Daily Operations of the business Recruiting, Interviewing, and Retention Training- both new hire onboarding and advanced training to include sales & moving Direct logistics for disposal & donation of junk hauls Sales & Estimating
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
: Hourly pay Bonus Tips Commission Responsibilities & Accountabilities Safely operate our trucks at all times. Give fair and accurate pricing estimates based on the pricing list provided Take overall responsibility for the truck, crew, and interaction with the customer on our jobs Ensure that the customer's house is protected while moving items Inspect truck(s) - check lights, fuel level, tools, and equipment Manage crew and drive performance to ensure client satisfaction Inspect truck for needed supplies Contact the customer if the crew is behind schedule and will arrive late. Ensure payment is properly taken Identify donatable items versus non-donatable items Communicate clearly with the manager on duty to maximize workflow efficiency Partake in marketing efforts Wear the College Hunks Hauling Junk uniform according to the operations. Perpetuate a culture of accountability and excellence at all times Work closely with move teams to maximize operational efficiency Manage multiple junk & move crews throughout the day Help keep disposal costs below company standard by managing disposal and coordinating donation efforts Identify logistical challenges of the jobs Facilitate recruiting, training, and evaluation of new hires Coordinating with sales, customer service, and clients Interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner at all times creating a memorable experience and repeat business. Train team members to operate the trucks safely and maintain safe work environment and practices at all times, measured by zero vehicle accidents or job injuries. Train Captains to establish value and price appropriately so client understands the value they received for the price they were charged. Keep team costs below target by ensuring proper staffing levels, communicating with team members and making sure everyone is arriving on time, working efficiently, and managing time appropriately. Conduct daily dispatch of teams, check out and check in equipment. Greet teams upon return to office when jobs are completed Conduct daily inspection of trucks upon return of teams in the evening to verify cleanliness, equipment inventory, proper stowage of moving equipment, lights off, cab locked, rear roll up door locked and contents of junk can in order to keep equipment replacement costs to zero Conduct onboarding training for new hires as needed. Operate and or ride along as 3rd team member on either Junk Truck or Moving Truck as needed to train new wingmen and Captains in order to develop new Captains and teams as efficiently as possible. Enhance current 2-day onboarding and training program and execute systematic training process. Assign Teams and jobs
