About the role The Facility Manager is responsible for the full operational oversight of the MPF facility, including wastewater processing, solid waste operations, waste profiling, logistics coordination, and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong analytical skills, advanced data management capability, and direct experience with RCRA‑compliant waste profiling. The manager will lead a small operations team responsible for wet waste, wastewater workflows, inbound and outbound scheduling, trucking coordination, and daily plant activities. Safety, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement are core expectations of the position. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise wastewater and solid waste operators, establishing daily, quarterly, and annual performance goals. Ensure safe, compliant operations across all MPF processes, systems, and equipment. Manage inbound and outbound waste activities, including wet waste, wastewater, and solid waste scheduling. Oversee RCRA‑compliant waste profiling, acceptance, sampling, and analytical review. Prioritize and approve waste profiles in NetSuite and ensure timely decision-making. Manage trucking logistics, including volume planning, capacity management, routing, and DOT‑compliant carrier coordination. Complete and verify all internal compliance logs, shipping/receiving documents, and operational records. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual DEP reports for wastewater and soil waste permits. Coordinate internal and third‑party inspections and maintain regulatory documentation. Support permit renewals and oversee the facility recertification process. Communicate scheduling updates, logistics details, and service expectations with clients. Prepare cost proposals and support invoice and AP review for collections activities. Maintain accurate facility documentation and submit new customer forms as needed. Lead operational improvement initiatives to increase throughput, optimize capacity, and improve EBITDA margins. Identify opportunities for facility upgrades, process improvements, and permit modifications. Support new waste disposal opportunities in coordination with regional teams. Plan and coordinate O&M maintenance activities and ensure operational areas remain clean, organized, and efficient. Reinforce safety practices, monitor safety performance, and lead safety improvement efforts. Train, coach, and develop facility personnel; enforce company policies and performance standards. Address daily operational needs, anticipate issues, and establish effective priorities. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 4-6 years of related experience in waste operations, wastewater treatment, environmental compliance, logistics, or facility operations; or equivalent combination of experience and education. Strong background in RCRA waste profiling preferred. Experience in environmental service organizations is highly relevant. Strong analytical and data management proficiency. Ability to read and interpret permits, safety rules, SOPs, and technical documentation. Skill in scheduling, routing, logistics coordination, and waste handling processes. Math skills, including rate, ratio, percentage calculations, and interpretation of basic charts or graphs. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage operations in environments with limited standardization. Clear verbal and written communication skills with operators, vendors, and clients. Licenses Valid Driver's License required. Wastewater Treatment License (2‑I) preferred. A Hydraulics License is optional Work Environment & Physical Demands Frequent exposure to mechanical equipment and outdoor weather conditions. Occasional exposure to humidity, heights, electrical hazards, and vibration. Noise levels are typically loud. Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, or crawling. Pay Transparency Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $87,300.00
