Position Overview:
MSAD 61 is seeking a dynamic, student-centered educational leader to serve as the District (MTSS) Coordinator. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership in designing and implementing a unified framework of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports to ensure equitable outcomes for all students.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish a
K-12 MTSS
vision and annual goals. Ensure a seamless flow between core instruction (Tier 1), targeted small-group intervention (Tier 2), and intensive individual support (Tier 3). Support building-level MTSS teams in creating consistent data collection systems to accurately determine student movement across tiers of support. Understand the district PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) framework. Coordinate, design, and facilitate training and professional development opportunities for teachers. Attend Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings, as needed, to provide guidance. Model best practices. Help to identify intervention programs, data tracking, and training needs. Lead district-wide data cycles to identify at-risk students, tier I curriculum gaps/concerns, and celebrate growth trends. Present clear, visual data reports. Vet research-based intervention programs and digital progress-monitoring tools. Meet with District and/or School Leadership Teams to assess needs and identify goals for MTSS implementation.
