Director of Operations

As Director of Operations for Maine Recycling Corporation (MRC), you will direct the development of activities in the assigned production areas to meet quality, safety and cost objectives goals. You will ensure that all policies and procedures are being administered in a fair, timely and safe manner. You will develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the most efficient operations within MRC's production areas. This position will be responsible for multiple locations.

Functions & Responsibilities:

Manage the productivity and overall operational performance of multiple MRC recycling operating units. Promote a strong safety culture, ensure consistent adherence to safety policies and procedures, support implementation of safety improvement initiatives and take corrective actions as needed, utilizing best practices. Ensure operating units meet or exceed MRC objectives and successfully implements MRC initiatives. Identify operational challenges, evaluate current operating processes. Analyze productivity performance, develop and implement continuous improvement plans.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of progressively relevant experience in recycling operations, manufacturing environment or related industry. Strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards and proven safety leadership. Experience managing production schedules, budgets, and performance metrics. Proven ability to execute process improvements by increasing efficiency, eliminating waste, reducing costs and improving workflow.
