Working with the owner, we provide expert operation, maintenance, and asset management for public and private systems. FVOP supports our staff through training and professional development. We are seeking a management professional with a Michigan S-2 or S-1 Municipal Water Distribution Certification to act as Project Manager and oversee the operations of water systems and operations staff in Alpena, Michigan and to support our co-workers and core principals — Have fun, do what we say we are going to do, and understand our customers and satisfy their needs. The ideal candidate is certified, experienced, and has strong personnel leadership and management, process control, budgetary, technical, mathematical, and mechanical skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Oversight of our contract operations group field operations staff. Maintaining positive client relationships. Compliance reporting of Michigan EGLE regulatory requirements. Management of budgets, Capital Improvement Plans, lab sampling, & record keeping. Assist with marketing new opportunities.Skills and Qualifications:
Michigan S-2 Municipal Water Distribution Certification is required. Minimum 5 years of experience. Excavation experience and CDL-B license is a plus. Must be able to work effectively with clients, staff, management, and regulators. Knowledge of water system operations, including EGLE and OSHA regulations. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong water system maintenance and operations experience. Pump and electrical troubleshooting experience desirable. Asset Management, Budgeting, and Capital Improvement Planning experience is a plus. Ability to read maps and blueprints. Prior experience in contract operations is a plus.
