Share this Job Job Description Cleveland-Cliffs has an opportunity as an Operations Planner in Ishpeming, MI. The Operations Planner supports safe, reliable, and efficient pellet plant performance by developing and coordinating daily and weekly operating plans. The role aligns operations, maintenance, and training activities; ensures disciplined work‑order execution; and drives consistent shift‑to‑shift continuity.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Promote and enforce safety and environmental standards. Develop and communicate daily and shift operating plans. Coordinate operational and maintenance schedules. Manage work orders in Ellipse and monitor PM compliance. Document shift performance and support deviation correction. Participate in reliability and process improvement initiatives. Support training alignment and cross‑shift consistency. Coordinate with engineering to align operational plans with equipment capabilities. Monitor delays, break-ins, and interruptions to improve operational scheduling. Prepare weekly operational forecasts and resource plans. Collaborate with supervisors to minimize variation between shifts. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality procedures. Communicate with upstream and downstream areas to coordinate work and deliveries. Evaluate deviations from plans and implement corrective actions. Minimum Qualifications :
Associate degree or equivalent experience. 3-5 years industrial/mining/steel/process industry experience. Microsoft Office and CMMS experience (Ellipse preferred). Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to work in an industrial plant environment.
