_PARAGRAPH JOB_DESCRIPTION.SHARE.HTML Midland, Michigan Management 8-4:30pm Regular Full-Time Day Shift Access Center 47619 Job Description Summary This position is responsible for the operation of the computer-based scheduling system. Duties will include but not limited to: managing patient database, establishing safeguards for system integrity, monitoring security and system performance as well as crystal report writing. This position will supervise the Central Scheduling department staff including planning, directing, staff development, training and policy/procedure formulation and implementation. Ensure daily functional operations. Responsibilities (50%)- Manage direct operations of scheduling personnel, including work schedules, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, planning, policy/procedure development and implementation. (35%)
- Operations of the computer based scheduling system including database maintenance, template changes and software upgrades. Safeguard data integrity and monitor functionality. Maintain system security. (15%)
- Generate weekly metric reports and ensures defined targets are achieved.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist and participate in system performance issues and maintenance upgrades and associated testing. Serve as a liaison between information resources for interfacing issues and troubleshooting efforts. Provide input on operational/capital budget planning including goals and objectives for area of responsibility. Monitor authorization denials in accordance to the defined guidelines and established goals. Conduct training sessions for all sets of end users including support, technical, nursing and medical staff. Lead team in providing internal/external customer service excellence, service recovery and problem resolution. All other duties as assigned. Certifications and Licensures N/A Required Education Associates degree or equivalent credits. Bachelor's degree within 2 years of hire.One (1) year experience in system management or on-the-job equivalency required. One (1) year supervisory experience preferred.
