The Inn at Harbor Shores is seeking an organized, proactive Events Operations Manager to lead the preparation and execution of weddings, meetings and special events throughout the property. This person will have overall responsibility for event operations and serve as the primary liaison between the Sales Office and the teams carrying out each event. They will oversee assistant banquet managers and event staff, coordinate across departments, ensure staff have clear direction, departments are prepared, and event details are consistently executed. We're looking for someone who takes ownership, anticipates needs and turns event plans into clear assignments and well-prepared spaces. This is a visible leadership role with an active presence at events, supporting the team, checking service and setup, and addressing client needs as they arise. Key Responsibilities Take overall ownership of event operations, from advance preparation through service and closing. Serve as the daily operational liaison to the Sales Office, confirming details, communicating changes and providing feedback on completed events. Review event details, timelines and floor plans in advance, resolving questions and identifying staffing, equipment and supply needs. Create and manage staff schedules, assign responsibilities and ensure appropriate leadership coverage for setup, service and closing. Maintain kitchen & event boards and coordinate with chefs on upcoming events, guest counts, meal selections, dietary needs and service timing. Ensure event bars are stocked, set and ready, coordinating beverage needs and specialty cocktails with the restaurant's bar director. Coordinate with restaurant leadership on restaurant-based events, including service arrangements, equipment and operational support when needed. Work with Public Area and Maintenance to ensure event spaces are clean, functional and ready on time. Train and coach the team, establish consistent procedures and ensure clear handoffs between managers and event leads. Oversee event materials, linens, rentals, supplies and equipment inventory, keeping storage areas organized and anticipating upcoming needs Inspect event setups and oversee service quality, addressing client requests and operational concerns promptly. Monitor labor, timekeeping and overtime while maintaining appropriate staffing and service standards. Uphold food safety, responsible alcohol service, cleanliness and workplace safety standards. Qualifications Experience in banquet operations, hospitality or event management, with demonstrated team leadership. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple events and changing priorities. Clear communication and the ability to coordinate effectively across departments. The ability to anticipate needs, solve problems and follow through. A professional, guest-focused approach and willingness to assist the team when needed. Availability for evenings, weekends and early mornings based on event needs.
Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 50.0 per week
