Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Job Summary The Head of Operations and Finance at Holy Cross Academy is responsible for overseeing the school's financial management and daily operations to ensure efficiency, sustainability, and alignment with the mission of Catholic education. This leadership role supports strategic planning, resource stewardship, and operational excellence in a faith-centered environment.
Job Responsibilities Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, payroll, and financial reporting
Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with school leadership
Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports and recommendations
Ensure compliance with Archdiocesan policies, financial regulations, and best practices
Manage day-to-day school operations, including facilities, maintenance, and vendor relationships
Oversee procurement, contracts, and resource allocation
Support human resources functions such as hiring processes, onboarding, and personnel records
Collaborate with the principal and leadership team on strategic initiatives and long-term planning
Implement and maintain efficient operational systems and procedures
Ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained school environment
Model ethical leadership and uphold the mission and values of Catholic education Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred)
Experience in financial management, operations, or administration
Strong knowledge of budgeting, accounting practices, and financial reporting
Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High level of integrity and attention to detail
Commitment to supporting a faith-based school environment
