Job Description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary St. Lucy Parish is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Business Manager to oversee the financial and operational functions of the parish. The ideal candidate will support the pastor and parish leadership by ensuring sound financial management, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the overall mission and stewardship of the parish community. Job Responsibilities
  • Manage parish finances, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and recordkeeping.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the pastor and parish finance council.
  • Ensure compliance with diocesan policies and financial procedures.
  • Coordinate and monitor parish budgets, including ministry and program expenses.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and purchasing of goods and services.
  • Oversee parish office operations, including administrative processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with staff and ministry leaders to support parish operations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and personnel information. Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in financial management, bookkeeping, or business operations.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial best practices.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with parish staff and leadership.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
