This position provides strategic and operational leadership for Production, Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, and Continuous Improvement to ensure the safe, efficient, and profitable manufacture of premium graphic packaging. The Director of Operations oversees all plant operations including: Printing Lamination Die Cutting Finishing Folder Gluers Window Patch Machines Equipment Maintenance Facilities Maintenance Manufacturing Support Functions This leader is responsible for maximizing equipment reliability, developing high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, improving quality, reducing waste, and ensuring Packrite remains an industry leader in high-graphic corrugated packaging. Operational Leadership Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for all manufacturing departments. Lead production activities across printing, lamination, die cutting, finishing, folder gluing, and window patching. Ensure all departments operate safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production schedules. Maintain responsibility for plant performance, throughput, labor utilization, quality, and customer service. Coordinate with Scheduling, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and Sales to meet customer expectations. Safety Leadership Promote a zero-incident safety culture. Ensure OSHA compliance and adherence to all company safety policies. Lead investigations of accidents, near misses, and corrective actions. Champion proactive safety initiatives and hold leaders accountable. Equipment Maintenance & Asset Reliability Lead all maintenance personnel and maintenance leadership. Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Maximize equipment uptime and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Reduce unplanned downtime through proactive maintenance strategies. Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, spare parts, and maintenance budgets. Develop capital replacement plans and evaluate new equipment technologies. Lead equipment installations, commissioning, and vendor relationships. Ensure compliance with OSHA, electrical, mechanical, and machine guarding requirements. Manufacturing Excellence Drive improvements in OEE, waste reduction, labor efficiency, throughput, machine uptime, setup reduction, and on-time delivery. Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, visual management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Quality Leadership Partner with Quality to maintain exceptional print and packaging quality. Support ISO, SQF, GMP, corrective actions, and customer compliance initiatives. People Leadership Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and department leaders. Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement. Conduct performance reviews and succession planning.
